Estimate finance payments
What your result means
This estimates standard amortising repayment finance. It shows the monthly payment, total repayment and interest from your entered price, deposit, APR and term.
Worked example
A £20,000 car with a £2,000 deposit, 6% APR and 48-month term:
- Amount financed
- £18,000.00
- Estimated monthly payment
- £422.73
The calculation does not assume a final balloon payment.
Formula
The monthly rate r is APR divided by 12. At 0% APR, the amount financed is divided evenly by the number of months.
Term sensitivity for the example
| Term | Monthly payment | Estimated interest |
|---|---|---|
| 36 months | £547.59 | £1,713.42 |
| 48 months | £422.73 | £2,291.07 |
| 60 months | £347.99 | £2,879.43 |
Assumptions and limitations
- Results are estimates based on the values entered. Actual finance agreements may include fees, different interest calculations and other terms.
- No balloon payment, arrangement fee, early settlement or missed-payment charges are modelled.
